Kindred is invite-only and is capped at 100 attendees with about 50 planners and 50 photographers or cinematographers. For each event, we meticulously review each interested attendee and use a multifaceted selection process to personally vet and invite the industry’s best. A “no” often means “not now” or “not yet.” There are no keynote speakers — everyone in attendance is qualified to teach so we create an environment for learning, connection, and deeper conversations from across the table.
Each attendee, once they are invited and have RSVPed with their “yes,” is encouraged to schedule a 20-minute review call with Rebecca, one of our founders, before the event. This is an opportunity for you to share more about you and your business, and to help us curate your introductions to fit your personal and business goals.
Lodging is not included, but we host Kindred at locations known for luxury accommodations that are typically available on site. We will email room block information — available at an exclusive rate — for the selected location to attendees after registration.
After we review each application (we receive thousands), we will often send digital and physical invitations to the selected attendees. You can expect this in the late summer of each year. We simply ask that you RSVP upon receipt so that we may provide attendance opportunities to others on our waitlist if you are unable to join.
Hearing this will always fill our hearts because this experience helps us meet people who feel like family. In full transparency, we strive to thoughtfully invite repeat guests in addition to new faces to ensure a fresh and dynamic atmosphere. Please re-apply between January and June to ensure you are on the list for our next application review. For each and every event, the people we invite to break bread with us are selected for that specific time in the industry.
If you register for an event and are unable to attend for any reason, please provide written notice to connect@kindredcollectivewed.com. For details on refunds and ticket transfers, see the full terms and conditions.
